While the Germans are quite proud of their posh automobiles (Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche), their legacy of famous writers and poets (Goethe, Schiller, Eichendorff), their beer, and their ability to throw a great party for a World Cup soccer game… Without a doubt these things make Germans proud. Germany is neither a world champion in soccer (Spain is), nor in beer exports (China is—which is odd considering the unique taste of German beer, and the not so unique taste of Chinese beer). Still, Germans are über-proud of being world champions in a different category: traveling!
Why traveling? Simple: Germans very often ‘suffer’ from Fernweh—farsickness; a longing for far-off places.
German trance composer/producer Alex Schäferhoff expresses his deep inner urge to visit faraway places in his latest release entitled, Fernweh. Featuring lush sonic soundscapes that will surely make you yearn to visit exotic countries teeming with cultural and scenic diversity, and strongly desire to see the world that is beyond the horizon.
Let Alex Schäferhoff’s Fernweh be the underscore next time you are watching planes fly away at the airport…while waiting to board your own flight-to-adventure!
